Horned grebe and its red eye

The Horned grebe is one of the most beautiful birds I ever photographed. This immature individual I saw on Erieau swimming on Lake Erie. The Horned grebe owns for sure one of the most striking and interesting eyes. Unfortunately this bird is in Special Concern in Ontario and there is a risk of decreasing its population.
